An effect of the isolation enforced by the pandemic has been limits to my concentration. But I did manage to do a few lockdown paintings and drawings in the long months and now some clay tablets. These will be shown at the Kingsgate Open Studios 24-25 July 2021
Once again, The Toys that made Christmas, that I contributed to a few years ago, will be boradcast on BBC4, Saturdayu 22 December at 19.30.
There are a lot of toys and their histories in it including Meccano, Lego, dolls and trainsets!
To mark the 80th anniversary of the dreadful events of Kristallnacht in November 1938, the Wiener Library have included a photograph of my father in Berlin and two letters between him and his sister in their exhibition, SHATTERED: Pogrom, November 1938. This is all further evidence that ‘family’ papers are testament to historical events.
